Eco-Warriors Look After Your Seedlings

Baby Plants - Seeds are Plant Embryos!

Some of the EnviroTeam have already begun sowing (planting seeds) for our winter crop of vegetables.

If you are baby-sitting some seed, you may have noticed they have already germinated. The cauliflower ones I took home have. Wow that was fast! Some seeds take much longer.

Remember to check every two days to see if they need gentle watering

Once they have germinated, they will grow better in the light, so place near a window or outside.

If you ran out of time last week to label your pot, do so now. Get a stick, iceblock stick or cut a piece of plastic from an icecream container. Label the date sowed (cauliflower was 4th March), name of plant and your name.
